Euzenando \r\nAzevedo tried to pass unnoticed. Little is known about the managing director of \r\nOdebrecht in Venezuela \u2014who due to his access to Ch\u00e1vez regime authorities and \r\nhis plenipotentiary manners, is known by some as the Viceroy of Odebrecht\u2014 since \r\nhis appearance on December 15, 2016 before the Brazilian authorities. There, he \r\nconfessed that they even forged Government documents and budgets. He recalled \r\nabout no-bid contracts arbitrarily assigned and mentioned parallel pays for \r\nmanagers who speeded up payments.<\/p>\n\n\r\n\n

But \r\nhe failed to say that he had shared bank accounts in Switzerland with one of the \r\ncommissioners he accused.<\/p>\n\n\r\n\n

Euzenando \r\nPrazeres de Azevedo appears in three bank accounts in Switzerland which he \r\nshared with Venezuelan lawyer H\u00e9ctor Joseph D\u00e1ger Gaspard, whom he pointed out \r\none and a half year ago as one of the commissioners he had recruited to get the \r\ngovernment of President Hugo Ch\u00e1vez to reduce the resources owed for works, like \r\nthe promised and still unfinished hydroelectric dam of Tocoma, in the south of \r\nthe country, in the State of Bol\u00edvar.<\/p>\n\n\n

Azevedo \r\nreported D\u00e1ger as a lobbyist or manager who speeded up the payments that the \r\nChavista bureaucracy dammed in Caracas. \"He got Edelca (the public company \r\nElectrificaci\u00f3n del Caron\u00ed) to pay us directly within a week or just over a \r\nweek.\" That is what he explained while on the defendant\u2019s seat, in front of two \r\nprosecutors who took his testimony in the courts of the city of Aracaj\u00fa, in the \r\nfar east of Brazil. He had to declare there. The Brazilian legal system, in \r\ncontingency to face the massive Lava Jato case, simultaneously distributed in \r\nall its criminal circuits the 78 \"rewarded informers\" of Odebrecht, who agreed \r\nto tell everything in exchange for procedural benefits.<\/p>\n\n\r\n\n
