The famous Brazilian \r\npublicists, Joao Santana and M\u00f3nica Moura, had already warned that the <I>Lava \r\nJato<\/I> case involved Chavismo's electoral financing, but their statements - \r\nfiltered yesterday by the Brazilian justice - go further now; they involve the \r\nVenezuelan president in the <I>lava jato<\/I> case, the biggest corruption plot \r\nthat involves all Latin American countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Declaraci\u00f3n de M\u00f3nica Moura ante fiscal\u00eda brasile\u00f1a.\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qHAU4KeiLyk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div><\/figure>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t \n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In \r\nexchange for procedural benefits, last year\u2019s February publicist Joao Santana \r\n\u2014the brain of Ch\u00e1vez's electoral campaigns, among other Latin American leaders\u2014 \r\nconfessed with his wife, M\u00f3nica Moura, that they charged US$ 35 million to \r\ndevelop the electoral propaganda of the deceased President Ch\u00e1vez. Back then it \r\nwas already a scandal that the campaign was run by the Brazilian giant Odebrecht \r\nin exchange for special contracts. But there is more now of what has been a \r\nnovel series. The Brazilian justice said that the publicists warned in their \r\nstatements that the irregular payments also involved the then Venezuelan \r\nchancellor, Nicol\u00e1s \r\nMaduro.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote alignleft\"><blockquote><p>\u201cMaduro received M\u00f3nica in his office, gave her briefcases of money and provided an escort \"<\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two \r\nBrazilian constructors contributed 12 out of the 35 million U.S. dollars of the \r\npublicists: Odebrecht transferred $ 7 million while Andrade Guti\u00e9rrez deposited \r\nanother $ 5 million in a Swiss account through the front company Shellbill \r\nFinance SA. The Peruvian justice imputed former presidents \r\nOllanta Humala and Alejandro Toledo, while there have been reports in the rest \r\nof the region that splash presidents, from Colombia\u2019s \u00c1lvaro Uribe and Panama\u2019s \r\nRicardo Martinelli to the current presidents of Argentina, Dominican Republic, \r\nColombia and Panama: Mauricio Macri, Danilo Medina, Juan Manuel Santos and Juan \r\nCarlos Valera, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\r\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In \r\nVenezuela, the Public Prosecutor's Office has not pronounced itself despite the \r\nfact that the Brazilian Attorney General's Office submitted the information \r\nthrough regular channels, as recorded in the minutes of file No. 105118\/2017, \r\npublished yesterday with the signature of its top holder, Rodrigo Janiot. \r\nAlthough the Prosecutor of the Republic, Luisa Ortega D\u00edaz, has distanced \r\nherself from Maduro's government, she has never charged him or any other \r\nofficial with the corruption of Odebrecht and the other contractors who paid \r\nbribes in exchange for the best contracts. Lula \r\nwas the first to ask publicist Joao Santana to develop the reelection campaign \r\nof his comrade Ch\u00e1vez , for which he involved one of his closest collaborators, \r\nminister Jos\u00e9 Dirceu, and the Venezuela\u2019s ambassador in Brasilia, Maximilien \r\nArvel\u00e1iz, today turned into a Hollywood producer with the film of Snowden, whom \r\nMoura pointed out as \" Hugo Ch\u00e1vez main articulator and guarantor in Brazil. \r\n\"<\/p>\n\n\r\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Weeks \r\nlater, they met in Caracas, in Palacio de Miraflores (the presidential \r\nresidence), where they closed a business of which no proofs should exist.
